Introducing Ville Lukkari, CEO of Ainia and Sailer!

In the fall of 2025, Sailer became part of the Ainia Solutions family! With this change, the Sailer ecosystem grew with many new faces, and we also gained a new CEO.

Ville has served as the CEO of Ainia Solutions since 2024. His background in entrepreneurship, board work, sales, and programming brings a diverse range of expertise to strengthen Sailer’s operations.

We asked Ville some engaging questions to help the Sailer network get to know him better!

How would you describe yourself?

“Besides sports, I have two passions: helping people and streamlining things. Since I was a child, I’ve been interested in efficiency, and I have an almost pathological need to find a solution to any problem presented to me. Fairness and justice are also important values for me.”

When you’re not at work, where would we likely find you?

“Engaged in games—golf, beach volleyball, hockey, padel, or board, card, and computer games. Or spending time with my family and cooking.”

How has it felt to now also serve as Sailer’s 'captain'?

“Interesting; it has been a deep dive into an industry I didn’t previously know much about. It has been eye-opening to see how much companies value research and how results are utilized in decision-making. On a personal level, it’s been great getting to know the professionals in the Sailer team.”

What has happened following the Sailer integration?

“My daily life has changed on a concrete level now that Sailer’s responsibilities have become part of my work tasks. Sailer’s arrival has also energized the Ainia side. The merger, along with Ainia’s new hires, has brought a sense of freshness. More people means work is also more fun!”

What kind of benefits does this collaboration enable?

“Joint projects and shared expertise—for example, utilizing Sailer’s know-how as part of AI solutions. Through service design, we create products that aren’t just loved by engineers, but offer customers a more comprehensive service.”

What does the shared future of Sailer and Ainia look like?

“Positive, bright, and growth-oriented—both separately and together.”

If you look at Sailer from a potential customer’s perspective, what would be the biggest reason to start collaborating with us?

“Passion, interest, professionalism, and experience. We provide insights you won’t get elsewhere, along with inspiring deliverables. For example, a video report captures the interviewees’ feelings significantly better than an illustrated text report.”
