Reiluuden Liiga - Luoto Company's Initiative for Responsible and Fairer Growth

Reiluuden liiga is an initiative launched by Luoto Company aimed at promoting a fair and responsible growth culture in Finnish working life. The goal of the initiative is to combine the perspectives of various stakeholders (customers, employees, employers, owners, and society), as lasting solutions and faster change are achieved through collaboration. The Fair Play League serves as an open discussion platform and a low-pressure space with the goal of gathering Finland’s largest practical solution bank for building a sustainable growth culture for future generations.

Challenge

Today’s working life faces diverse challenges, and instead of mere talk, concrete actions are needed. Luoto Company wants to bring together Finnish companies that have grown sustainably over the last 15 years and examine how they have achieved growth while considering the well-being of people and the world. The goal is to uncover and compile the values, working methods, and best practices of these pioneering companies into an inspiring, easily accessible format for the entire working life community to utilize.

Solution

Sailer has been responsible for the comprehensive conceptualization and content planning of the research in collaboration with Luoto Company, as well as assisting with the recruitment of case companies. A total of 8 Finnish growth companies will be selected to participate in the project.

Data collection is carried out in phases using a multi-method approach:

  • Employee Surveys & Analysis: A survey is conducted for the personnel of each case company, with results analyzed to gain deep insight.

  • Qualitative Interviews: Based on the survey findings, interview frameworks are created and employee representatives are interviewed.

  • Documentary Video Production: Sailer professionally captures the interviews in a documentary style alongside a videography partner, while also handling video editing and production.

Based on the research of each case company, Sailer collaborates with the organization to compile specific recommendations for more sustainable growth and packages the key learnings into a visual video summary of Finland’s fairer growth actions.

Results and impact

During and at the conclusion of the project, the learnings of 8 pioneering companies will be gathered to form a deep, practical solution bank of sustainable growth practices for Finnish working life. The concrete development recommendations and documentary video content resulting from each case company provide organizations across industries with clear tools and peer support to develop their own growth culture.

The completed research findings and video summaries will be utilized on the Fair Play League’s open forum and discussion platform to spark societal debate and propel Finnish working life toward a fairer, more equitable, and sustainable future.
